Through fraudulent processes, some parties allow for SMS to be made Internationally but charged at local rates. The result is that the government of Pakistan is losing a considerable amount of revenue because of these practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is informed that the Authority (<strong>PTA<\/strong>) has approved the following directives pertaining to the International SMS termination &amp; origination:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All <strong>CMOs<\/strong> and <strong>CVAS<\/strong> Registration holders shall not carry <strong>international SMS traffic directly<\/strong> from\/to foreign SMS carriers<\/li><li><strong>CVAS<\/strong> Registration holders are not allowed to carry out international SMS business instead shall deal in national SMS services only.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Forwarded for information and strict compliance in its true letter and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To :<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All CMOS<\/li><li>All CVAS Registration Holders<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>* This is a local channel (sendpk.com || bulksms.com.pk) for terminating local\/Pakistani origin companies\/products\/services traffic only, terminating traffic of any international entity directly or indirectly is considered is a crime and can lead to legal action for damages\/losses incurred.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grey telephony<\/strong> is a term referred to the\u00a0<strong>illegal telecom traffic<\/strong>\u00a0in which calls\/SMS from foreign countries are brought into the country as local calls\/sms while using illegal means.
