How It Works

Five steps, and nothing is ever delivered to the phone.

No SMS. No OTP message. Nothing at all arrives on the phone. The code is never sent — it is the number that rings. Your user simply reads the last 4 digits from the missed call in their own call list.

There is nothing to buy for this service. Missed Call Verification is included free with every SMS package on this page — Semi Branded, Branded and Short Code (OTP). There is no separate plan to buy, no monthly fee and no setup fee for it.

  1. Have any SMS package, or a free trial account. Semi Branded, Branded or Short Code — whichever you already use for your SMS. A free trial account works too, so you can try it before you spend anything.
  2. Nothing to switch on — it is already live. Missed Call Verification is enabled on every SENDPK account, including brand-new ones. There is no form to fill and no waiting. Your daily limit is set for you from the package you hold, and it follows you automatically when you upgrade.
  3. Use the API key you already have. The same SENDPK API key you use for the SMS API works here — no new key, nothing to install. Everything you need is in the API documentation.

So the package you pick is not how you buy verification — it only decides how many verifications you may do in one day. A bigger package simply means a bigger daily allowance, as shown below. Even a free trial account gets a working allowance, so you can test the whole thing before you spend anything.

Only a successful verification uses up that allowance. A call nobody answers, or a PIN nobody checks, costs you nothing off the count. The count starts again from zero at midnight, Pakistan time.

When Charges Occur

Voicemail RedirectThe phone is off or out of range, so the network sends the call to voicemail. Voicemail answers — and an answered call is a billable call.
Wrong Number EntryThe user typed someone else’s number. That stranger picks up, the call connects, and the call is billed.
Instant AnswerThe user answers before the call is cut, or their phone plays a paid “the number you are calling is busy” announcement. Both count as answered.

Always free

  • Starting a verification — no money is held or taken.
  • The missed call itself, when nobody answers it. This is the normal case.
  • Checking the PIN, checking the status, cancelling a request.
  • Webhooks, retries and repeat calls to our API.
  • Countries we cannot reach — you get COUNTRY_NOT_SUPPORTED and pay nothing.

The one thing you pay for

  • A call that is answered. It stops being a missed call and becomes a normal voice call, so the phone network bills it.
  • Charged once per verification — never twice, even if you call our API again.
  • An answered call is billed as one minute, however short it was.
  • The exact rupee amount comes back in charged_amount, and the price depends on the country — see the table below.

So “free” means free almost every time, not free by contract. Budget for a small number of answered calls, show the PIN on screen so users never feel the need to pick up, and keep use_server_hangup on so the call is ended from our side.

If the Call Is Answered — What It Costs

Pick a country to see the price of one answered call. Everything else on this page stays free.

Country

  • Nothing is taken from your balance until the call is answered.
  • An answered call is billed as one minute, even if it lasts two seconds.
  • The big figure is the lowest price. One country has many operators and number ranges, so the typical figure is the middle one and the highest is the worst case. Your real amount always comes back in charged_amount.
  • Prices are in Pakistani rupees and include our service charge. Carrier price lists and the dollar rate move, so these figures can change without notice — the line above the notes says when the rate on screen was last checked.
